Week Seventeen — Community (The Roots)

Belonging Is Something We Build Together

Week Seventeen of 365 Acts of Affection explored Community through small acts of inclusion, generosity, recognition, and presence.

This week reminded us that community is not something that simply exists around us.
It is something we actively help shape.

Through checking in.
Including others in conversation.
Offering support.
Recognising contribution.
Sharing knowledge.
Showing up consistently.

Community grows through attention.

And belonging often begins with invitation.

In organisations, families, friendships, and neighbourhoods, culture is shaped through repeated moments of participation and care.

Not every act needs to be large to matter.

Often, the smallest gestures create the strongest sense of connection.

Week Seventeen asked us to consider:
What kind of community are we helping create around us every day?
