Week Seven — Self-Awareness (The Self)

Week Seven invites us to notice in a different way.

Not correcting.
Not improving.
Not performing.

Self-awareness.

Self-awareness is the quiet discipline of paying attention to yourself.

It is noticing how your body feels in this moment.
Naming one feeling without judging it.
Checking in before deciding.

In a culture that rewards urgency and output, self-awareness can feel indulgent.

It isn’t.

Slowing down improves decisions.

When you name a feeling, it prevents the room from shifting unconsciously.
When you release unnecessary pressure, it stops spreading through the team.
When you rest without earning it, you sustain long-term responsibility.

Leaders who notice respond differently.

Self-awareness doesn’t make you softer.
It makes you steadier.

Alignment requires self-checking first.

The tone you set inward becomes culture outward.

If you are sharp with yourself, that sharpness travels.
If you are calm with yourself, that steadiness spreads.
If you are kind to yourself, that kindness multiplies.

This week we practise interior micro-moments:
– Notice how you feel before you speak.
– Slow your pace before deciding.
– Release one unnecessary pressure.

The Self is not selfish.

It is the foundation.

Self-awareness is how we remember that leadership begins inside the body before it ever reaches the room.
