Week Twelve — Meaning (The Sacred)

Meaning isn’t something we find at the end.

It’s something we notice along the way.

This week in the 365 Acts of Affection turns toward the small moments that hold significance: how we begin, what we pay attention to, what we choose to treat as worthy of care.

Meaning shows up in pauses.
In intention.
In what we decide matters.

In organisations, meaning is what sustains energy.

When people feel connected to something beyond urgency, their work deepens. When attention is given to what matters — not just what’s loud — clarity returns. When moments are held with care, the work becomes more than output.

Meaning changes the texture of how we move.

The strongest leaders don’t manufacture meaning. They recognise it. They create space for it. They allow it to exist alongside performance, not beneath it.

Not everything needs to be faster.

Some things need to be felt.

This week reminds us that leadership is not only about what we achieve.

It is about what we honour, what we notice, and what we choose to hold as meaningful.
